PRIVACY STATEMENT
PartMed is a private exchange specializing in providing purchasing agents and
design and manufacturing engineers with a simple and elegant solution for their
hard-to-find or problem components. PartMed provides suppliers with new business
opportunities through matched connections to the buyers and engineers. The
exchange is dedicated to protecting your privacy online. This Privacy Policy
has been developed to help you understand how your personal information will be
treated as you visit our web site and use our services.
Registration
When you register with PartMed, we ask for some general information and
demographics. We ask Suppliers for additional company information. We make the
information you provide available to the buyers to assist in their
decision-making process once they have received quotes from you.
Internally, PartMed only uses this information to
better customize and tailor our site to you and to provide the best possible
solution to your sourcing request.
PartMed does not sell personally identifiable
information about its users nor will PartMed
send you advertising materials or other communications unless you have
specifically requested them or we are mandated to do so by law (for example in
the case of a product recall)
Transactions
In order to complete transactions, buyers and suppliers will be providing
certain information relevant to the transaction. The transaction information
will be used only in a limited manner in order to provide PartMed services.
Unless required by law, the commercial transaction information will not be
disclosed to third parties without prior written consent from all of the
parties to the transaction.
Third Party Requests
PartMed will not supply information about its users to anyone other than its
affiliates or partners, unless such action is necessary to: (1) comply with a
legal process; (2) protect and defend PartMed’s rights or property; (3) enforce
the PartMed Supplier Agreement or Buyer Agreement; or (4) in order to protect
the interests of its members or others.
Security
All information submitted or uploaded via the PartMed website (e.g. electronic
part specification files, purchase orders, non-disclosure agreements, etc.) is
stored on PartMed’s servers and made available only to those parties approved
to receive the information. Access to PartMed’s servers via the Internet is
restricted through the use of passwords, firewalls and other security methods
in order to protect your privacy.
